Washington: Elma, WA proudly declares its commitment to honoring the esteemed legacy of the late Afghan leader, Ahmad Shah Massoud, by proclaiming September 9, 2024, as “Massoud Day.”
Mayor George Fuller signed the proclamation to recognize Massoud's unwavering commitment to freedom, justice, and democracy and his efforts to fight against terrorism and communism. The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, which is currently led by his son, Commander Ahmad Massoud, continues his legacy.
The city of Westminster, CA stands in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan as it declares September 9th as Massoud Day - a momentous and solemn tribute to honor the unwavering courage and sacrifice of Ahmad Shah Massoud.
